The Mountain Movers Chapel International (MMCI) Accra Branch began humbly as a small fellowship in a residence with fifteen committed members, including Prophet Kofi Boateng, Ella, Mama Vida, Yvonne, Mama Vim, Mr. Atta, Emefa, Rita, Doris, Douglas, Freda, Bridget, Joshua, Haggai, and Richard. What started as intimate prayer meetings soon developed into a shared vision for a growing ministry.
On 28th February 2017, the church held its first official program under the theme “They Will Change Their Mind,” attracting 35 participants and marking the church’s transition from a home fellowship to an emerging ministry.
Despite early challenges such as limited infrastructure and lack of musical instruments, support from Prophet Emmanuel Owusu and later Bishop Elisha K. Boateng, who provided instruments and chairs, strengthened the church.
Through consistent evangelism and organized ministries—including the Women’s Fellowship, Youth Fellowship, Choir, and Children’s Service—the church has grown steadily.
Today, the MMCI Accra Branch has approximately 70 members, under the leadership of Prophet Eric Kofi Boateng and Prophetess Dorothy Boatemaa, standing as a testament to faith, resilience, and divine provision.
Mountain movers is a very powerful church and good place to fellowship.
