The Wenchi branch of Mountain Movers Chapel International (MMCI) – City of Grace Arena is the first branch of the ministry, with a history spanning over 30 years. The church originated from Flame of Fire Ministry, founded in Wenchi by Rev. Larry Testaman, an American missionary from North Carolina. When he left Ghana, leadership was entrusted to Rev. Philip Hella.
Following consultations between Rev. Hella and the leadership of MMCI, Bishop Elisha Kwabena Boateng, through Apostle Edmond Ohemeng Karikari, established Mountain Movers Chapel in Wenchi. Rev. Hella later handed over the ministry to MMCI and became the first Head Pastor of the branch.
Over the years, several pastors, including Rev. Benjamin Atta, Rev. Kelvin Owusu, and Rev. Francis Aquah, contributed to the church’s growth and expansion, including the establishment of a branch at Nsawkaw.
Under the leadership of Apostle Edmond Ohemeng Karikari, the church completed its mission house and replaced its wooden structure with a permanent auditorium, strengthening the ministry’s presence in Wenchi.
Mountain movers is a very powerful church and good place to fellowship.
